This notice explains what Nyx Baird collects, why it is used, where it comes from, and the choices available to you.
What we collect
- The Steam profile name you submit and the resulting public profile URL.
- Public game-library, playtime, achievement, and profile data requested for your account when the Steam integration is enabled.
- Essential security and session data, including IP address, browser information, CSRF tokens, and server logs.
- Cookie-free first-party analytics: daily page-view totals and a rotating daily visitor hash derived from IP address and browser information. Raw IP addresses are not written to the analytics tables.
Why we use it
We use data to provide requested recommendations, secure and improve the service, remember necessary session state, prevent abuse, meet legal obligations, and measure whether the product is being used. Advertising and billing are not active.
Legal bases and data minimization
Depending on your location, processing is based on your request to provide the service, legitimate interests in security and product improvement, legal obligations, or consent where required.
Sources, sharing, and storage
Profile data comes from you and official platform interfaces such as the Steam Web API. Data is processed on the service's hosting infrastructure; no third-party analytics, advertising, or payment vendor is currently enabled. Current configured storage location: United States.
Retention
The submitted profile name remains in an encrypted session until that session expires. Public platform responses are cached only as described in the data-sources notice. First-party analytics aggregates and daily visitor hashes are retained for 90 days. Security logs are kept for a limited operational period. Deleted data may remain in restricted backups until normal backup expiration.
Your choices and rights
You may request access, correction, export, deletion, restriction, or objection where applicable. Send requests to nyx@nyxb.me. We may verify identity before acting and will respond within the legally required period.
Children
Backlog Reaper is a general-audience service for users 13 and older and is not directed to children under 13. Do not submit personal information if you are under 13. If we learn that we collected it, we will delete it.
Security and changes
We use reasonable access controls, encryption in transit, server-side API keys, and least-privilege practices, but no service can guarantee perfect security. Material changes will be dated and, where required, presented for renewed consent.
